Students will build their own skyscrapers from Styrofoam and wood, which will then undergo strength tests. They will also watch a film featuring an architect and learn about the tallest buildings in the world.

In this lesson, you will cover:
You will need
Garden pots with soil, fine gravel, coarser gravel and sand, hammers, Styrofoam, wooden blocks, a measuring tape and a hairdryer. Preparing the materials for the classes can be a bit challenging, but the fun the students will have building their own skyscrapers will be rewarding in itself.
